M name is Norma Brown Steele.  I became Director of the Paris-Henry Co.  Heritage Center in March  2008.  This update is in September 2009 and it has been a fun and exciting time since coming to the Heritage Center.  I want to thank the community for their support and I look forward to the years ahead.  During the past year we have had some great events and exhibits. For the upcoming year, we have planned the return of the scarecrows and a Camp Tyson Exhibit.  These events will run through October 31st.  In early November, we will have a Colonial Toy exhibit from Sherry Taylor of Jackson that will run through the holiday season along with our spectacular Christmas decorations.  Kicking off our exhibits for 2009 will be the celebration of Black History Month, with an exhibit on inventions that have enhanced our lives.  This event will be followed by an exhibit honoring the 100th year of the founding of Boys Scouts.  I invite you to come to the Heritage Center and enjoy these exhibits.  If you have an exhibit that you would like to bring to the Heritage Center, please tell me about it and we will try to work it in.   Check our calendar of events and join us throughout the year.
